I have worked remotely, in some fashion, for the majority of my career. However, I have never worked for a “remote first” company. Instead, I have worked remotely and managed teams in environments that were NOT typically remote friendly.
I see “remote work” as a spectrum and believe most companies are going to try a hybrid approach since it allows them to dip their toe in the water and show progress, all without commitment. Will this be enough to satisfy their existing employees and entice new ones to join?
I write more about this in a LinkedIn article. Hopefully I am allowed to post this here: 50 Shades of Remote Work
I would appreciate feedback and comments. Thank you.
