Hi GitLab Team,
I’m reaching out because my GitLab admin account has been blocked on the public GitLab instance (gitlab.com), and I’m unable to access my project/group as an administrator.
Error Message: “Your account has been blocked. Please contact your GitLab administrator if you think this is an error.”
Issue Context: I logged in using another user who has Owner access to the project, which also includes the blocked admin account. Upon reviewing the account details, I noticed that the admin account has expired.
As I need admin access to manage the projects effectively, I’m requesting assistance with resolving this issue. Specifically, I need help either reactivating the expired admin account or promoting another user to admin so I can continue managing the projects.
I’ve tried troubleshooting by logging in again, but the issue persists. I don’t have any other admin users who can help unblock my account.
Could someone from the GitLab Support team please assist me in either:
- Unblocking my account, or
- Helping promote another user to admin so we can manage our project effectively.
