Some calls to the API have extremely slow response times currently and some return 500.

Getting the list of commits for a gitlab projects lasts for minutes with java-gitlab-api takies minutes and ends up with:

“org.gitlab.api.GitlabAPIException: GitLab is not responding”

Also, from time to time, 500 are returned directly from the GitLab API. Some time ago I was getting this:

I’m using the same lib as always to communicate with the API (the official java-gitlab-api). I have not changed anything in the code on my side recently. The problem has started occurring today.

I think it’s not just the API issue but just that gitlab.com is little sluggish even from the web browser.

I got reply on twitter that they had problems with the API and they have ended up switching it off.
