Block guest access to group list

Hello Gitlab Community,

I recently set up Gitlab CE for internal use and I am running into the following issue; I disabled signups and now when someone enters the gitlab, they get a login screen, as expected. However, WITHOUT logging in, people can click the explore link and get an overview of public projects AND all groups. I have no public projects, so this is not an issue, but it seems impossible to set the groups to non-public. Even users who are not logged in can get a list of all groups, their member counts and their project counts.

Is there a way to fully enforce user logins to get anywhere beyond the login screen?

See Is it possible to hide user and group from public?

Thanks for the info. I guess I’ll wait for 8.6 then…
