Can I forward issue tracker events to an externally managed mailing list?

I’m wondering if, on gitlab.com, there is a way to configure projects to send emails to a public, externally managed mailing list for issue tracker activity. This would allow me to use the gitlab issue tracker for a sub-topic/area of maintainership while sending a canonical record of that interaction to the broarder project mailing list.

There’s an integration which can send mails to arbitrary targets for pushes, but I don’t see anything that does this for emails. Does anyone know of a solution to this?

I’m finding this very hard to search because of how common words like “issue” and “email” are (Most people seem concerned with creating new issues by SENDING email, or receiving emails to an individual account as a notification, but this is neither circumstance.)
