Cannot login, attempted push errors out with "Your account has been blocked."

All of a sudden, attempting to push fails with the following output:

$ git push
remote: 
remote: ========================================================================
remote: 
remote: Your account has been blocked.
remote: 
remote: ========================================================================
remote: 
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

I tried to find out what’s wrong on the GitLab website, but I could not log in, getting a 404 error upon entering my correct username and password (not having been asked for the 2FA which I do have enabled). I also tried to reset my password which seemingly succeeded, but I am still not able to log in.

What is happening?

Ah yes - re-requesting and re-verifying the e-mail did solve the issue. I can’t say any of the error messages I had seen would have anyhow led me to try that, though!
