Certified Associate Exam: cannot create epics -> lack of Premium options in Demo Cloud?

Hi, I am trying to finish the hands-on exam of the Certified Associate course, but I have no access to epics at all with my account in the Demo Cloud that was specifically created for this course using the instruction provided (with the invitation code shown at the beginning of the course).

I do not see any options to create epics or work with epics in the context of issues at all, which makes it impossible to finish the exam.

Is there a setting that I missed that I need to activate in order to work with epics?
Or am I simply “failing” the exam because I cannot find this feature?

I solved the problem with the help of GitLab Learn support!

For anyone running into the same issue: “Epics are housed at the Goup Level so if an issue is listed in a project that is not tied to a group, you will not be able to promote the issue to an epic.”

Hello @TonyChoppa You can resolve this by following the below steps:

If you look in the Demo Cloud you can see if your original project created for the exam was created under your training group- If you look at the breadcrumbs in the image below{Invited User (username)> GitLab Certified Assoc} - this is an easy way to tell if you are in a group space, this project was created under your username, but not linked to a group.

Epics are housed at the Group Level so if an issue is listed in a project that is not tied to a group, you will not be able to promote the issue to an epic.

You can transfer this project to your group by going to Settings > General > Advanced > Transfer Project and paste in your demo cloud user name.

Once the project below is in your group, you can open any issue and use the /promote quick action to promote the issue to an epic.
