Ci_migrate file conflict

When running an upgrade from gitlab-ee 14.1.3 to gitlab-ee 14.2.0 I get the following error:

Transaction check error:
  file /opt/gitlab/embedded/service/gitlab-rails/db/ci_migrate from install of gitlab-ee-14.2.0-ee.0.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package gitlab-ee-14.1.3-ee.0.el7.x86_64

Error Summary

I haven’t received any errors while upgrading in the past so I’m unsure what this error is referring to. I run an automated update script once a day that checks for new versions and if one is available, it will download and run the installer. The last upgrade to 14.1.3 completed successfully without any warnings about any outdated packages or services.

I should note, this is a gitlab omnibus installation.

I have exactly the same situation and would like to see what to do to overcome this problem.

Same trouble, 14.1.3 to 14.2.0 failing a transaction check on CentOS 7 Omnibus install.

14.2.1 released last night resolved the issues for me and I was able to update to 14.2.1 without issues.
