I’m trying to run my personal gitlab server as remote repository for my projects/experiments. I have installed sucessfully
11.1.0-rc11 (0365569) on my RPi2 but I’m getting message for push command (sourcetree): Could not resolve host: gitlab.example.com. - Remote repository is already created on gitlab.
After a few days of reading forums I found some solutions which should solve this problem but nothing helped.
- Adding extra git config (local repository): -FAILED (Not helped)
git config --global --unset http.proxy
git config --global --unset https.proxy
- Enable HTTPS on gitlab in
/etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb-FAILED (Let’s encrypt couldn’t create SSL certificate)
external_urlhttp to https - failed
nginx['redirect_http_to_https_port'] = 80- failed (Should solve problem with creating SSL certificate from Let’s encrypt)
I tried also older version of gitlab (8.1x) where wasn’t problem pushing changes but those older versions doesn’t support git LFS, which is my requirement.
Is there a way how to push local repository changes through just HTTP/SSH without switching to HTTPS? I’m planning to use gitlab only for personal use only in local network. I’m not linux and gitlab guru and I would be really happy for any suggestion because I’m starting to being tired of solving this.
Thank you for any suggestion and sorry for not proper text formatting.
