I have installed Gitlab on my ubuntu server. I’m looking for a way to change default language. I checked gitlab.rb config file and admin interface but i couldn’t find anything yet. Can you tell me if there is a way to set default language to something other than English?
I figured it out.
inside /opt/gitlab/embedded/service/gitlab-rails/config/application.rb set the variable config.i18n.default_locale = :tr_TR in your case the language that you want to set.
inside /opt/gitlab/embedded/service/gitlab-rails/config/locales/ folder place the file tr-TR.yml. This file should be in format of /opt/gitlab/embedded/service/gitlab-rails/config/locales/en.yml
