Does the Guest role in a group, receive notifications when the group is mentioned?

Trying to figure out best way to add indirect team members to a group, with visibility, but not be part of the notification scheme of that group, or the CODEOWNER flow, is Guest a good role for this?

There are some docs on notifications which might help you, but I’m reasonably sure that the user will need to turn notifications off for themselves, regardless of their level of privilege.
