I meant this URL which prints the GitLab server version when logged in: https://collaborating.tuhh.de/help
In terms of the problem, I’d say this is due to the fact that the project is private and for security reasons, forks are disabled.
I’ve found some tickets:
The above suggests that 12.7 adds a possibility to control this with project settings. Now coming back to the question of the GitLab server version
