Seeing install packages for Linux. Want to know if possible to install GitLab Standalone on Solaris using the Linux install package?

No, you won’t be able to install Linux packages on Solaris. You can try installing using the build from source method instead.
unfortunately the docs aren’t for Solaris, so you might have to adapt it to try and build under Solaris. If not, suggest installing on a supported Linux distribution instead and forget about Solaris.
Appreciate your opinion. Have a SPARC/Solaris machine that still runs but has had no task for a couple of years so thought I would try.

It’ll be interesting (but that’s mostly the computer historian/weird architecture interested guy in me talking)to know if you can through the source installation, but also when it comes to running it you’re pretty much on your own.
