Gitlab Servicedesk behind Cloudflare email forwarder does not work

  • What are you seeing, and how does it differ from what you expect to see?
    • Emails forwarded to Gitlab Servicedesk through Cloudflare do not show up in Gitlab. I would expect them to show up as if they were sent without being forwarded.
  • Consider including screenshots, error messages, and/or other helpful visuals
  • What version are you on (Hint: /help) ? and are you using self-managed or gitlab.com?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already taken? Can you link to any docs or other resources so we know where you have been?

The service-desk email is verified in Cloudflare. The email path is:

User -> Cloudflare (example.com) -> incoming+${project-subaddress}@incoming.gitlab.com
