I wanted to give a simple piece of feedback on gitlab on the page I was using (a pipeline page - I just wanted to be able to see the shorter IID as well as the long ID).
So I saw there was a feedback link in the help menu. Good start…
But instead of simply asking me what my feedback was, using the current page as context, I was lead to a complicated issue submission form that asked me to choose from a massive number of categories that I didn’t understand.
I still don’t know how to submit my feedback - I have given up trying to figure out which category applied.

PS. Yes, I am a developer and I do understand the need for good structured feedback. I also understand that my customers don’t know how I think and I don’t expect them to learn to use my internal processes. So there are people who understand the customer who translate their feedback into developer tickets.
PPS. This forum is equally intimidating. Making me choose from a large number of categories that make no sense to me discourages me from posting anything.
