How to disable rails ip_spoofing_check

Hello,

I’m using GitLab CE 7.10.4 omnibus installation on Ubuntu 14.04. I’m trying to access my GitLab installation via a proxy, but a Rails ip spoofing check blocks me, according the rails logfile:

ActionDispatch::RemoteIp::IpSpoofAttackError (IP spoofing attack?! HTTP_CLIENT_IP=“123.123.123.123” HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR=“111.111.111.111”):
app/controllers/application_controller.rb:73:in `reject_blocked!’

The Rails parameter:

config.action_dispatch.ip_spoofing_check = false

needs to be set. How do I do this in a way that it does not get overwritten by gitlab-ctl reconfigure?

I tried setting:

gitlab_rails[‘env’] = {“config.action_dispatch.ip_spoofing_check” => “false”}

in “/etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb”, but this does not have the desired effect.

Regards,

Sven
