Hey everybody, I have a group and a free account with only 3 members in it. When I try to add another member it says I’ve already reached my max of 5. I’m not sure exactly what’s happening. I do have some other projects with some other users but even after removing a lot of those users I still can’t get past this problem. Maybe some of you guys know what’s going on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

For me, under Settings > General > Permissions and group features > Seat Controls I temporarily set user cap to 10, and switched back to 5 later. This enabled me to add two more seats from three to five of the free tier.
There might be users added in different sub groups or projects that are not directly visible in the parent group members view.
To check the overall usage, navigate as group owner into Settings > Usage Quotas, URL https://gitlab.com/groups/GROUPNAME/-/usage_quotas
