I’m trying to import FreeSWITCH’s git repository into our local GitLab CE (omnibus 8.12.4 on Debian Jessie), but:
$ git push gmn Counting objects: 265868, done. Delta compression using up to 8 threads. Compressing objects: 100% (51470/51470), done. remote: error: object 487128950df6ee433c131b5feaafe81ee86629f4: multipleAuthors: invalid format - multiple 'author' lines remote: fatal: Error in object error: failed to push some refs to '(redacted)'
This is a known problem with FreeSWITCH’s history, but of course they don’t want to rewrite the repository to fix it.
There doesn’t seem to be a
fsck.skipList in GitLab. Is there some other way to get the project imported? After it’s imported, I wouldn’t expect new commits to contain more errors, just the two known ones from back in 2014.
edit: Using the import feature when creating the GitLab project, and having it import straight from FreeSWITCH’s git repo, worked.
