Hi GitLab team,
I am planning to install SonarQube on the same machine as the GitLab server. I noticed that GitLab also uses PostgreSQL as its database, and SonarQube requires PostgreSQL for its database. Is it okay if I proceed with installing SonarQube on the same machine as the GitLab server?
Gitlab has it’s own built-in postgresql, but you won’t be able to use that for Sonarqube. Some people do install other things on their server with Gitlab. I personally don’t recommend it. I much prefer to dedicate servers for a particular application rather than overload one server with everything. It can complicate things, especially when something conflicts port wise between applications.
