In Github there´s the option in Branch Protection to ‘Require branches to be up to date before merging’. Essentially this block the MR from being merged until the default branch has been merged into the feature branch, helping a lot in QA. There might be situations where you can merge your feature branch into the default branch and your tests have been green while in the feature branch, but when merged the tests go red.
Additionally, the UI visualizes that your Feature Branch is x commits behind your default branch and lets you upmerge default brach > feature branch with a button click.
Did I miss this feature or is this currently completely unsupported? If so, where can I raise awareness?
