MFA for git push / pull

I would like to know if it is possible to configure and enforce multi-factor authentication for git push / pull on my self managed Gitlab installation please. I’m running CE version 16.1.1. If this is possible, is documentation available on how to set it up?

@unique, there’s a Premium feature to enforce 2FA for Git over SSH operations.

See also enforce 2FA for all users, which is available in all tiers.
