I am having trouble migrating a large project with a lot of LFS objects from one standalone server to another standalone server using Direct Transfer. I am using the API to start the transfer. It would take 20 minutes before it then marked as failed on the migration history page. The only thing it marks as complete is the group. The group had been created before. On many tests I have done it would sometimes partially complete. It would just not be able to transfer all the LFS objects. I would then push the remaining LFS files after and it would be fine. It is just really unreliable on when it will fail and when it partially completes.
I have tried it on other smaller projects and they work fine every test I have done.
I have looked in the logs and the exception message is: “Export from source instance failed: Errno::ENOSPC”.
Is there anything I can change on the source or destination server to make the transfer more reliable?
