Nginx (unbundled) - different location/relative path

Hi,

Situation: debian server running.
Nginx on board running website and some other vbox.

Gitlab runs (was able to use the interface when shutting down the naive nginx).

Goal: put gitlab on serve_name/gitlab using the native (unbundled) nginx.
Is this possible?

but many of the setting seem to be removed and the info seems outdated. Any help?

What I did:

in gitlab.rb
external_url ‘http://hostname/gitlab’
web_server[‘external_users’] = [‘www-data’]
nginx[‘enable’] = false
nginx[‘listen_addresses’] = [“0.0.0.0”, “[::]”]
nginx[‘listen_port’] = 8081

Either remove “default_server” from the listen line below,

or delete the /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default file. This will cause gitlab

to be served if you visit any address that your server responds to, eg.

the ip address of the server (http://x.x.x.x/)n 0.0.0.0:80 default_server;

#listen 0.0.0.0:80 default_server;
#listen [::]:80 default_server;
server_name hostname/gitlab/; ## Replace this with something like gitlab.example.com
server_tokens off; ## Don’t show the nginx version number, a security best practice

See app/controllers/application_controller.rb for headers set
