SAML Error saving user

Hello

I just changed gitlab auth to SAML from AD. For some users (which was already created when AD was enabled). I see the following error . Any workaround for this?

March 30, 2017 09:20: (SAML) Error saving user _99b754d4431aae6e0686e0bd8693296a (ppradhan@domain.edu): [“Identities user has already been taken”]

Thanks

gitlab_rails['omniauth_auto_link_ldap_user'] = true??

What version of gitlab are you running? If I remember correctly, this was a bug last year. Make sure you’re running 9.0+

Ok. I will update it. The current version is GitLab Community Edition 8.17.0 77254ab.

Upgrading to 9+ did not fix it. Same error and I have

gitlab_rails[‘omniauth_auto_link_ldap_user’] = false.

Thanks
Paras.
