I am new to Git Lab and I have added my ssh keys (rsa) to my account for my desktop and my laptop. I use both of these keys on the school debian server and they work perfectly with my .ssh/config. I usually just create a bare git repo on the school server for my projects and clone it, but my professor has created a Git Lab repo for our current project because it is a course on working in teams using Scrum. I can use the ssh clone on my desktop, however when I try to do so on my laptop I get:

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.I am a maintainer on the repo, so I should have the correct access rights and I know the repo exists. Both my desktop and laptop are identical (as identical as can be considering they are different machines) Arch Linux installations and the /etc/sshd_config files match as well. I am using ufw since I have not yet learned to manually configure a firewall with iptables.
on laptop (same configuration as desktop):

Welcom to GitLab, @UserName!My .ssh/config only has configs for the school server on both machines, yet the desktop works with Git Lab SSH, so I think that it is not an issue with that. I have read through several of the other SSH key questions here and have not found anything that helps. I also have searched through some Arch Wikis and have not been able to solve this issue. My rsa.pub file is not the default name instead it is my_host_name.pub, but it is in the default location ~/.ssh/, this is also true on my desktop so I think that is not the issue either. Can anyone point me in the right direction and is there any additional info needed?
