Backup file is too big after update

I have a self hosted gitlab with every day automatic backup. After last update to version 18.3.1 is backup file size 56GB. At version 18.3.0 it was 28GB.

I’m sure, that my project increase wasnt double at one day…

In the past, it sometimes happened that the backup file was twice as large. But the next day, the size was “normal.” Now, for the third day in a row, the file is too large.

You will have to check your disk space usage under /var/opt/gitlab and find out which directories is using the space. Maybe also look at removing old backups from /var/opt/gitlab/backups.
