Cannot Set Projects to "Public" – Option Greyed Out

Hi everyone,

I’ve encountered an issue where I am unable to set the visibility of my projects to “Public” on GitLab.com. The option is greyed out for all my 60 projects, and I can’t figure out why this is happening.

Here are the details of what I’ve checked so far:

  1. I am the Owner of all the affected projects.
  2. My projects contain no sensitive or prohibited content.
  3. In the Settings > General > Visibility section, the “Public” option remains greyed out.
  4. I’m using the Free tier on GitLab.com and haven’t had visibility issues in the past.

This problem affects both existing projects and new ones that I create.

Could this be due to some account-level restriction or a recent policy change on GitLab? If anyone has encountered this issue before or knows how to resolve it, I’d really appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
