I know gitlab developers are pretty fond of ruby and rails, and they also developed the runner in go.
So I was wondering if anybody from the development team had a look at the Crystal programming Language
It’s am object oriented language, heavily inspired in ruby (not fully compatible but pretty close) with static type checking, type inference, and that compiles to native code using an LLVM backend. It’s performance rivals go and rust, and sometimes even C. (more info here)
Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if gitlab devs has a look at it or think that it might find it’s place in gitlab’s stack.
