First contribution

I would like to start contributing to Gitlab CE. This will be my first time contributing to an open-source projet. I read https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md and feel ready to try on issues from Issues · GitLab.org / GitLab FOSS · GitLab

Is there a guideline to chose an issue from this list ? Are they prioritized in some way ?

How should I indicate my choice ? Assign the issue to myself ?

Your best bet would be to look here: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues?label_name=up-for-grabs

Once you have chosen an issue that you want to work on, you can assign it to yourself.
