Gitlab forced me to sign up for an Ultimate trial (I could not log in unless I did) then deleted a group. Seems a bit harsh.
How to get out of this trial?
Any chance of recovering my other group?
Is there really still a free account or will I go through re-signup procedure every month?
Does free account allow more than one group? This point is not listed in the comparison tables but is suggested by their deletion of the group.
TL;DR
Today, after using free account for (I suppose) a month, Gitlab disabled the login button. Yes, disabled the button; I guess it saw a cookie. The landing page was an ad for a Gitlab service.
The only button that worked was the âsign up for 30 day trial.â I clicked, it forced me to select one of my two groups. I got in to my dashboard and the other group was gone.
Also, it shows a countdown on the trial indicating I am really in a trial. I donât want this, never did.
Iâm wondering whether some draconian sales tactics are in progress or perhaps free accounts no longer exist and after this forced trial my remaining group will be deleted. Pretty bizarre.
These are the errors in console when loading gitlab.com. Are these normally present?
