Gitlab-ce upgrade issue while upgrading from 17.1.0 to 17.1.1

I deployed GitLab using the official Docker image. When upgrading from 17.1.0 to 17.1.1, GitLab encountered operational issues. Initially, after the upgrade, it was usable, but at some point, GitLab became inaccessible, and I could no longer log in. Even after downgrading back to version 17.1.0, the login issue persisted. What could be the reason for this problem, and how can it be resolved?

What issues exactly? Please give more information.

What became inaccessible? What Gitlab services are running or not running? What errors? Suggest checking the logs files and providing additional information so that people can help. The log files should be under /var/log/gitlab go through all the ones that relate to the services/functionality that isn’t working and look for something that doesn’t look normal. Errors should be pretty easy to spot.

I have already switched back to version 17.1.0, and the issue is no longer present. The inability to log in occurred both times I switched to 17.1.1. Since the developers currently need to use GitLab, I cannot upgrade to 17.1.1 again. I will not upgrade to version 17.1.1 for now; let’s wait for the next version. Thank you very much.

Did this ever get resolved I see users experienced this up to version 17.4?
