How long are build artifacts on gitlab.com kept for?

Hello,

I’m a new GitLab user coming from GitHub, though I have used a private GitLab instance at an internship previously.

I’m wondering: How long are build artefacts kept for on gitlab.com?

This is related to uploading binaries to releases (aka tags). I’m curious to know if it’s a good idea to link to a build artefact for this purpose, or whether I need to investigate hosting releases elsewhere. I don’t expect any traffic really apart from myself and a few others :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe the default is forever https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/yaml/README.html#artifacts-expire_in.

Ah, I see. So unless gitlab.com has customised that parameter, I should be fine. Thanks!
