How to display "Files" tab as default in project home page

How do I configure the project so that when user land on the home page, they see the “Files” tab? I found some discussion around it in internet, but could not find a solution. But I do see that lot of project in github does this. How are they doing it?

Thanks & Regards

This is not supported at the moment. I haven’t seen any GitHub project that does it btw.

Please look at this project. It takes directly to Files view. https://github.com/urbanairship/datacube

Ah ok I see what you mean. The default way for GitLab is to show the dashboard.

Is there any update on this feature? I would like the repository to show the files by default, possibly with README below.

Hi,
I’d like to also request this option.

In addition, I’d like to have an option to remove the logo from the top of the dashboard.
It takes so much of the page real-estate without purpose…
Basically, the default view of GitHub would be ideal.

It’s located in Profile -> Preferences -> Behavior -> Project view.

But how to set this default to all other users?!
