Kex_exchange_identification error

For past 3 days, I am receiving the following error on all my repositories hosted at gitlab:

kex_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

If I use VPN, there is no problem. I have tried on different ISPs but still the same error.

How can I fix it?

Which Git version are you running? Might it be out-dated relative to your GitLab version?
