License activation internet connection required?

Hi,

I would like to install a self hosted version of Gitlab with a license. For activation of the license (or at any stage for that matter) is it required to have an internet connection available for Gitlab? I need to run it completely offline.

Other people run GitLab completely offline, so I think that is possible. I haven’t tried myself though.
