Hi,
Can you please clarify for me what would happen with a GitLab.com Silver Edition subscription for the following use-case?
The Silver Edition subscription is for a group namespace and there are 15 private projects and 20 users in the group.
We want users to fork group projects into their own namespace and create MRs to merge commits back upstream.
We want group and user repositories to run CI pipelines.
We want to easily manage subscriptions using a single company card.
So assuming a Silver Edition subscription is bought for the 20 user group…
Are the Silver Edition features available in the 15 private projects in the group?
Are the Silver Edition features available in forked user namespace repositories (the project that was forked being a private group project)?
Are 10k CI minutes available to be shared among all the CI pipelines in the 15 private projects in the group?
Are 10k CI minutes available for each user in the group to run CI pipelines for forked user namespace repositories (the project that was forked being a private group project)?
If 10k CI minutes are not available for the above question, what is the means to support additional minutes for users working in a group’s project context in their own namespace?
- Doubling-up on subscriptions for each user namespace (the group subscription already is paying for 20 users) but this would be a separate non-group subscription?
- Add-On minutes, but customers.gitlab.com doesn’t seem to allow picking a user namespace other than your own or your groups, each user has to go and enter a credit card separately? This would also be an issue if doubling-up on subscriptions.
Is there some other way I am missing to support the use-case on gitlab.com?
Thanks!
