Wrong merge request title

I don’t understand where GitLab gets the title for a merge request.
Currently, it seems to be taken from a different branch, and not the one for which I’m creating the MR.

For example, branch and commit message:

image2546×718 75.8 KB

But then:

image2489×1024 149 KB

I didn’t find anything related to this nonsense “templating” in the repository settings.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem in the past, and also currently on GitLab version 16.11

Does anyone know what could be the reason for this? Or what could be the solution?
