Advanced Search not searching Code using Gold trial

We’re giving a try to the Gold trial, specifically because we want to try functionality such as Advanced Search to search through code

We’ve started the trial, however when we use the global search it doesn’t seem to search through the code as shown in the documentation.

Is there something additional that needs to be activated of some sorts or are we missing something (taking into account that we’re using Gitlab.com, not self-hosted)?

We have the same issue. We activated the Ultimated Trial version to get the Advanced Search feature but we are still unable to search in our code base. There is no documentation for how to setup the advanced search feature in GitLab.com (SaaS) environment. There is only documentation for self-managed installation.

Hi,

can you share your namespace/group where you are trying to use the advanced search?

There is no configuration necessary for the integration, that’s why there is no documentation.

Also, targeting a global scope for code search on GitLab.com won’t work at the moment. You’ll need to select a group or a project in the search target to consume the index from the advanced search.

Can you share a screenshot of the search form with an example?

Cheers,
Michael
