Apparently, gitlab has learned how to track user seats better. I pay bronze annually, in February. I. have a group of core people ~10 people and a single issues repository that has about ~30, that observer/reporter types. I do have to classify everyone as developer to let them see follow up comments to the original.
So now they want me to payback for last year, plus pay up for this year. It’s about 3k. I’m of the opinion that they should share some culpability for the failure of their billing systems to accurately track seats with the net effect of me paying them for their mistakes.
Frankly, I’m ticked off. I’m thinking of moving to Jira, for the issues repository, just out of the principal.
Anybody in a similar situation.
