I am currently working on a project migrating our local gitlab instance into a cloud provider.
I found under
/var/opt/gitlab/gitlab-rails/shared/registry
I have 2 folders that - well seem to have some similar content but ONE has much less data:
see:
/var/opt/gitlab/gitlab-rails/shared/registry# tree -L 4
.
├── docker
│ └── registry
│ └── v2
│ ├── blobs
│ └── repositories
├── docker-backup
│ └── registry
│ └── v2
│ └── backup
└── repositories.csv
9 directories, 1 file
I am constructing a backup by using snapshot/rclone and I wonder
- if I can safely delete docker-backup/*
- If I can avoid that new files will be created under docker-backup/*
thank you guys
