GitLab 8.12.0 to 9.1.1

Hi All,

Our GitLab environment is on 8.12.0 version now and we would like to upgrade to latest version 9.1.1. Is it possible to upgrade directly from 8.12.0 to 9.1.1? I would like to upgrade our test server first and later imply the same on our production servers. Can you guys please let me know the steps to follow for the upgrade?

Can we install particular version of GitLab through omnibus?

Hi, I have updated our test server from 8.12.0 to 9.1.2 manually by downloading package. It seems it has wiped out previous data? How can retrieve the data? Can I get to point where I was before doing this activity…with data and version?
