Gitlab and Jira cloud integration is only creating weblink

Hi Team, I have integrated Gitlab with Jira cloud. When I create a commit from Gitlab it creates a weblink on Jira issue instead of updating the development panel on the Jira issue. Is there a settings I can change on Gitlab to disable weblink creation and update development panel ?. Thanks

there are 2 available integrations with Jira:

  • Basic one via Integrations in GitLab UI - this is the one that you have most likely configured
  • Jira Development panel - which you most likely need to configure

Is this only possible with DVCS connection ?. I want to use the application instead of DVCS connection.
