How to start runners unlocked?

I register docker runners this way:

docker exec gitlab-runner-{{ item }} gitlab-runner register --non-interactive \
      --url "{{ gitlab.ci.external_url }}" --registration-token "{{ gitlab.runners.registration_token }}" \
      --description "gitlab-runner-{{ item }}" --executor "docker" --docker-image alpine \
      --docker-privileged

They are started in “locked” mode. How can I start them unlocked, using command line?

Hi, according this: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-runner/issues/2782 adding parameter --locked=false should help. At least it worked for me.

Thanks, it works

@DmitryRomanenko @AntoninV are you passing those values as environment variables or hard coding the values into the command? I am trying to register runners using Elastic Container Service with AWS and want to add the runner command to the Task Definition of the Container Cluster
