Issue with bind_dn

Hi Team Gitlab,

Kindly help me in resolving the below issue ! We are getting the ouput for ldap search but we get below error
after we run gitlab-rake Gitlab:ldap:check

Output: LDAP authentication …Failed. Check ‘bind_dn’ and ‘password’ configuration values.

I’d encourage you to add more details so that there are more chances that someone can help you.

  • What version of GitLab are you using?
  • What are you exactly trying to do?
  • Have you checked the bind_dn and password configuration values as per the error message?

Hi,

Now the ldap is running fine after I did gitlab-rake gitlab:ldap:check but while logging in with my credentials in the GUI get this error "could not authenticate you from ldapmain because “invalid credentials for username”.

Kindly suggest ways to resolve this issue.
