Lost gitlab-secrets.json

I have for some reason messed up my gitlab-secrets.json file and I have now lost access to some parts of my gitlab-ce omnibuss docker install settings (CI/CD settings, runnes). Is there anyway I can fix this? I realise that these settings might be lost, but can I delete them completly and re-add them using my newly generated gitlab-secrets.json file? As I am getting 500 errors when going to these setting pages, I am not able to delete the entries. Was really hoping to avoid a fresh install. Any help much apreciated.

Hey there,

Please check our documentation and let me know if you have any question https://docs.gitlab.com/ce/raketasks/backup_restore.html#when-the-secrets-file-is-lost

@swarnava I have issue with the CI/CD page of old projects after restoring backup. It is showing 500 error and I unfortunately don’t have the backup of gitlab-secrets.json file. I tried deleting the ci-variables as suggested in the link you shared above but this did not fix the issue for me. Is there any other fix for this issue can you please help out
