Recently we have restored from backups, and also updated to Gitlab EE 16.6. When restoring from backups AND updating from 16.4.1 to 16.6, user and project avatars go missing.
Is the only way around this to utilize Gravatar? Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere that would maintain these items? Additionally, our favicon and menu icon go away as well.
Also checked… the avatars for projects and users all exist in the requisite areas; however, they don’t ingest into the web interface… so is there a rake command or something I need to perform for it to “ingest”?
Not sure what happened, but the uploads file structure was not stored in the backup we restored from… rsync’d some files over, cleared cache in gitlab and in browser, and voila.
