I have an old gitlab (v4.0 with mysql) installation and wanted to install gitlab-omnibus (v7.0 with mysql). But I have problem migrating data from older server. I have looked into migration options e.g: here but it doesn’t work. All of them complains about version mismatch. Anybody have done such migrations? Is it possible?
The upgrade doesn’t have to be gitlab-omnibus. I can install gitlab from source, that wouldn’t be a problem. I am just looking for a way to upgrade the server.
