Gitlab 8.3 migration to Gitlab 13.6
I now have 2 servers, Gitlab 8.3 (ubuntu 12.04) and Gitlab 13.6 (ubuntu 20.04).
How do you migrate the deposit from the old to the new?

According to the docs: “The best way to migrate your repositories from one server to another is through backup restore.”
Note that: “You can only restore a backup to exactly the same version and type (CE/EE) of GitLab on which it was created.” So you’ll either want to update the old server server first, or have the new server on the same edition and version as the old one and update after the migration.
