I’m relatively new to GitLab and am trying to get a handle on managing merge conflicts, which seems to be a rite of passage for developers. Given GitLab’s robust feature set, I know there are built-in tools designed to help with this, but I’m still trying to understand the best approach to tackle these effectively.
Can anyone share strategies or best practices for avoiding or resolving merge conflicts, particularly when multiple team members are involved in a project? What features within GitLab have you found most helpful? Additionally, are there any third-party tools or plugins that integrate well with GitLab for this purpose?
I’m also curious about any educational resources or tutorials within GitLab that might help simplify this learning curve. How do you streamline your workflow to prevent these conflicts from becoming a stumbling block?
