No permissions to deploy Gitlab Pipelines even when I am the owner of the project

Cannot execute deployment script when though I am an owner - got promoted from maintainer

When I click on a successful pipeline

• and I click the circular arrows button to re-run a step in the pipeline (does not matter if it is build or deploy) - > I get a notification in red - An error occurred while making the request.

• when I open the console logs of the CI/CD task and try to re-run it from there (button is on the top right corner, Gitlab takes me to a 403 page

This is true only for my user. There are two other owners who can re-run the pipelines at will.

Has anyone any idea on what is going on?

It might be running on a protected branch on which you do not have permissions? Look in repository settings if there is some custom setup for the branch the pipeline is running on.
